Yes! Aamir Khan’s “FIRANGI” character from the “THUGS OF HINDUSTAN” to appear on Google maps.
The pointer you see in the Google maps will be replaced by Aamir Khan’s FIRANGI character, where you will see him riding on a donkey, which the movie states it to be his favourite mode of transport. Also, you will hear the voice of Aamir Khan. Great news for fans!!
YASH RAJ FILMS (YRF) in collaboration with GOOGLE MAPS India, has found a great way to promote the film country wide using the unique of Google Maps.
This has been one of the best marketing strategies. In India, there are millions of people looking for Google maps to find the routes, or shortest routes or finding the non-traffic roads.
This will avail more and more people to just know about the film. Hats off! To the marketing team.
This feature will be available on both Android and iOS within few days. It will be enact for couple of weeks till the film releases.
You need to follow certain steps to avail this feature:
1) Update the latest version of app, which will be available soon, if it does not show. Where it will not be boring route for you! Aamir Khan will be with you! Also a voice of Aamir Khan is added.
2) When you are ready to start the ride, you will find the Aamir Khan’s picture. When you click on it the pointer will disappear and you will find “FIRANGI” character of Aamir khan from THUGS OF HINDUSTAN!
3) Then on clicking on start on Aamir’s character a message will pop up stating two options namely, Chalo and Na Rey.
4) Start the ride with “FIRANGI”.
The Movie is releasing on 8th November starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, the legends of Bollywood.
